iPhone Lock Screen Quick Capture

You do not need to unlock your phone to capture a thought. Sundown supports lock-screen widgets, Action Button triggers, and App Intents.

Lock-screen widgets

1. Enter lock-screen customization on your iPhone.
2. Tap the widget area below the clock.
3. Select Sundown iOS Widgets.
4. Add the Record now widget.

Tapping the widget launches Sundown directly into capture.

The Action Button

If your iPhone has an Action Button, it is the fastest way to trigger a capture.

1. Open iPhone Settings > Action Button.
2. Select Shortcut.
3. Choose Start Quick Capture.

You can also use Stop Quick Capture and Cancel Quick Capture in larger automation workflows.

App Intents and Siri

You can trigger Sundown with your voice via Siri or Shortcuts:

• Start Quick Capture
• Stop Quick Capture
• Cancel Quick Capture

These intents are designed for fast capture, not for browsing the app first.
