Capture and audio
Capture starts on your device. Transcripts become the main saved record. Audio retention is optional, and the app explains when playback is unavailable because audio was not retained.
Sync and AI
Sundown Cloud keeps captures and generated views in sync when you use cloud backup. AI features may process relevant transcript excerpts so Sundown can answer questions or generate summaries.
Analytics and diagnostics
Public-site and app telemetry is limited to non-sensitive operational information. Sundown must not intentionally include note text, transcript text, audio contents, secrets, or raw provider payloads in analytics.
Your choices
You can choose Sundown Cloud or on-device-only use, turn audio retention on or off in the app, and choose whether to use AI features.
