  • Ask AI: the conversation mode where you can ask questions about your saved notes using natural language.

C

  • Capture: a single voice recording and its resulting transcript.
  • Complication: a shortcut on your Apple Watch face that can trigger a Sundown recording.

D

  • Daily View: the screen that aggregates all captures and the AI summary for a single calendar day.

G

  • Git / GitHub: a system for tracking changes in files. Sundown uses this as an optional advanced export path for people who want file-history control.

I

  • Individual plan: a personal Sundown account for one person.

J

  • Journal: the readable day-by-day view Sundown generates from your saved captures.

N

  • Nightly Summary: an automatically generated AI summary of your entire day, delivered as a notification.

R

  • Record Hub: the second tab in the app where you start new captures and view recent history.
  • Export destination: a file store such as GitHub that advanced users can connect if they want Sundown to export portable files into their own account.

  • Slug: the human-readable part of a URL or file name.
  • Sundown Cloud: Sundown's managed sync service and the default setup for new users.
  • Sync Backlog: the list of saved captures or updates still waiting to be uploaded or refreshed.
