Ask AI turns your saved capture history into a collaborative knowledge partner. Here is how to prompt it effectively.
Prompting recipes
1. The weekly recap
- Look back:
Last 7 days - Question: "What were the most important project ideas I had this week? Group them by category."
2. The relationship recall
- Look back:
Last 30 days - Question: "What funny things did my kids say lately? Include dates if possible."
3. The task discovery
- Look back:
Pick dates - Question: "I mentioned needing to call someone about the roof. Who was it and when did I say it?"
How it works
- Sundown scans the saved day content for the selected dates.
- It only sends relevant excerpts to the AI service you chose.
- Every answer is saved to your conversation history, with Markdown export available when you use the GitHub path.
Best practices
- Be specific instead of asking broad questions.
- Use the date chips under an answer to jump to Daily View and verify the source.
- Check the AI option selected in Settings if you expect a particular model.
