Managing Your Subscription
Sundown is designed so you do not have to pay just to start capturing and keeping your notes.
When a subscription is needed
Subscriptions are used for:
- Sundown Cloud paid features,
- family or team plans,
- premium AI features that need more capacity.
Managing your plan
- Open Sundown
Settings > Account Access. - Tap
Subscription. - Use the Apple subscription screen to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel renewal.
Restoring purchases
If a subscription does not appear on a new device, use Restore Purchases from
Settings > Account Access. Sundown checks Apple first, then reconnects the
purchase to your signed-in account.
Free baseline
Free is the default state when there is no verified paid subscription.
Plan freshness
The iPhone account screen shows Individual, Family, or Team when the
latest verified account status is available. If plan details need a refresh,
Sundown shows that message instead of guessing an exact tier.
Signing in
Google, Apple, and email sign-in complete after Sundown creates the auth session. If a follow-up account refresh is temporarily unavailable, the app keeps you signed in and shows a refresh-needed message instead of sending you back to the sign-in screen.
When you open Settings > Account & Access, Sundown keeps the current page
visible and refreshes account details in the background. You can still review
the current on-device state while newer plan and member information loads.
